A Little Backstory
I thought I'd start the year off with a bit of a back story about my logo!
When I bought my house, the previous owners left us with many beautiful statues. Two of my favorites are now placed in my garden! One is of a woman and her children. I like to think the woman is Demeter, the goddess of the harvest, with her two children, Persephone, goddess of spring, and Ploutos, god of wealth.
The other is the statue of a girl pushing a wheel barrel with bare feet and a flower in her hat. Her wheel barrel is a cute little planter that I planted with wildflowers this year, although it turned out to be a fail. This year I am determined to find something that will thrive in her little planter.
When I started thinking about making a page for my flower journey, I knew I wanted to bring some elements of this little farm into the "branding." I played around with a couple of ideas, but nothing seemed to fit.
One night, during sunset, I was taking pictures of the statue of my little gardener and couldn't help but think she would make a great logo! So the next day, I started drawing her on my iPad and eventually came up with what you see today. I think she's the perfect symbol for my little farm!
