Overgrown
Lately, the farm has felt overgrown and wild. Everywhere you look, plants are overflowing from their original spots, taking over every inch of soil they can find. There isn't a bare bed in sight.
Some would find it messy or unkept, and while I do feel like that at times, I am trying to see it as abundance. The plants thrive here. They have enough nutrients to spread and grow as large as they please. Their blooms are a sign that they are happy and thriving.
I took my morning walk through the garden yesterday, and all around, I saw an ecosystem working together. My hyacinth beans are going absolutely nuts right now. They have stretched far beyond their original growing space. But as I looked at them, I noticed something. As they reach their vines anywhere they can go, they act as support to my cosmos, which tend to fall over whenever the wind blows. The pinks of the cosmos go perfectly with the delicate purple of the hyacinth beans. It was a little happy accident that turned out beautiful by mistake.
This little discovery switched my perspective instantly. Instead of mess, I was seeing abundance. A happy garden doesn't stay in its neat little beds with firm borders. It takes up space and grows as much as it can.
May a little abundance find you today. Thanks for reading!
